The European DIGITAL SME Alliance operates the website https://www.greendigitalcoalition.eu on behalf of the European Green Digital Coalition (EGDC) Pilot Project Consortium. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information. We use your personal information only for providing and improving the website. By using the website, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. This policy is applicable to personal data processed by the EGDC, and it applies both to the website and to our processing of personal data in general.

Data protection and privacy are very important for the EGDC, and we do everything we can to minimise the amount of data we collect and process. We only process data of individuals who have a direct relationship with the EGDC (such as our members, subscribers of our newsletter, etc.). In addition to this policy, EGDC’s Data Controller (see below) is registered and located in Belgium, therefore, we also comply with all the policies under Belgian and European law.

Information collection and use

While using our website or subscribing to our services, we may ask you to provide us with certain personal identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you, as well as to provide you with the best quality of services. Personal identifiable information may include, but is not limited to your name, e-mail address, etc. (“Personal Information”). If you subscribe to the EGDC newsletter and press releases, we use your personal information to contact you with our newsletters or press releases. The website of the controller contains information that enables a quick electronic contact to our organisation, as well as direct communication with us, which also includes a general address of the so-called electronic mail (e-mail address). If you contact the controller by e-mail or via a contact form, your personal data are automatically stored. Such personal data transmitted on a voluntary basis to the data controller are stored for the purpose of processing or contacting you. There is no transfer of this personal data to third parties.

Disclosure of data to third parties

We do not disclose communications we receive to third parties, unless this is necessary to fulfil a request of the party that initiated the communication or a legal obligation. We always use our best efforts to minimise the amount and scope of any disclosure.

Data protection provisions about the application and use of Matomo Analytics

This website may use Matomo Analytics. Matomo is an open source web analytics platform. A web analytics platform is used by a website owner in order to measure, collect, analyse and report visitors data for purposes of understanding and optimizing their website. Web analytics is the collection, gathering, and analysis of data about the behaviour of visitors to websites. Web analytics are mainly used for the optimisation of a website and in order to carry out a cost-benefit analysis of Internet advertising.

The purpose of the Matomo Analytics component is to analyse the traffic on our website. Matomo uses the collected data and information, inter alia, to evaluate the use of our website and to provide online reports, which show the activities on our websites, and to provide other services concerning the use of our Internet site for us.
