VMware joins the EGDC as a new member

The EGDC welcomed its newest addition, VMware, which recently joined as a Coalition member, thus committing to work towards the actions of the EGDC Declaration. VMware is a leading provider of multi-cloud services for all apps, enabling digital innovation with enterprise control.

VMware’s decision to join the Coalition is the latest step in its ten-year 2030 Agenda to create a more sustainable, equitable and secure future for everyone. Recognized globally for its environmental efforts, VMware is committed to achieving net zero carbon emissions for its operations and supply chain by 2030 and has achieved 100 percent renewably sourced power for the operations of its global facilities and co-located data centers continuously since 2019. VMware is also enabling its customers to achieve their sustainability goals. For example, it has established a partnership program that connects customers with cloud providers well-positioned to help them reach sustainability and supply chain decarbonization goals.

VMware believes that co-innovation is the essential next step to accelerate change, and by joining like-minded partners at EGDC, it can increase its role in developing effective digital solutions to mitigate the climate crisis.
